BYC Café

This is as far as I got on the build.
I have to make drain connections in the basement but a lot is already dry fitted.

Good morning Café. Coffee is ready.

Back to work for 2 days then off Friday to go with M&S to meet a Dobie they are considering adopting. Bella and Piper will come to make sure they all get along.
I'd been trying to convince them to adopt and not get a puppy and I'm glad they are looking at this guy again. They met him last weekend and really like him. Big (chubby) red boy. Bella will be terrified at first. She is of any dog her size or bigger.

His name is Jumanji. They don't like that. I suggested Knox. Some name will fit him if they adopt him.

I was under the impression that the bride and the mother of the bride set everything up... the father of the bride pays for it... at least, more or less.
Yes, at least that is the way it has been traditionally in the USA. Groom's family pays for the rehearsal dinner. I suppose we would have done some of the planning ... if they had the wedding up here. Not so easy when the wedding is 600 miles away in a place we've never been.

Another difference from your situation is DD1 is 30 and her husband is 29. They are plenty adult enough and better situated geographically to plan their own special day.

My FIL remarried a woman who had 3 children, the youngest was a daughter about 10 at the time. When she got married, of course it had to be a nice wedding. At a country club, not too over the top, but still. Lots of wailing on the wedding day pre-ceremony from the bride, about her hair! her dress! her this! her that!

I was ready to slap her, but just pasted on a smile instead. Thank goodness I wasn't one of the bridesmaids (I had met her in person the day before, lol) or I might have walked out.

I didn't know she was pregnant (that explained a lot of the tears), which was announced at the reception, to applause. They had two more children. Hubby was abusive, neglectful, manipulative, cruel. They finally split up. He is still making her life hell. Poor woman will be paying for that mistake for the rest of her life.

Good morning, put my coop on hold since it's been so hot in Kenly and our house AC is out till tomorrow hopefully. Friends of ours they have so many different types of birds, think they are a sanctuary asked when we're ready they will give us some babies.
Hello @Packy and welcome to the Café ! :frow

With so many different types and breeds to choose from, you will have a hard time to decide which and how many to take home. :D
