I've seen the previews for it - just don't get why they have to be naked, I mean, you could be "minimally clothed and afraid" and still have to do the same amount of surviving, no?

Ahhh I see. Yeah, I've seen a few episodes, it's pretty good haha but yeah, exactly! Though honestly I think it's more for the shock value and ratings than anything. Minimally clothed wouldn't be as entertaining. But they could be naked and at least habe sandals

Yes DH likes all those survival shows, that one included. If you go one that show learn how to weave. Occasionally the woman of the group knows how to weave and the group is always better off. One woman even made shoes for the two of them by weaving grass.
Those shows are OK to watch, but I would never want to go on one, I don't like being hungry

Yeah, those ones are really smart!! There was ome that knew all the useful plants too but she was a little annoying wanting to stop to collect every plant and wasting time lol and LOL same here!!!

We watch it occasionally. I guess the whole naked idea is to have nothing. Period. Except the one item they are allowed to bring. I could survive in some of those places (only if hubby was my partner) but I'm a mosquito magnet. I'd die in the places where the mosquitoes and bugs are bad. :/

Yeah, there was one in the Caribbean or the Pacific Islands or something like that which at first seems like it would be a breeze but they chose the most desolate one, the one with basically no food and only one water source. Although actually I might be mixing up shows here, there was one where they documented themselves and it was way more people. But either way there definitely was an island one of this too and the challenges are the same. Minimal food, water, and shade and blazing hot sun, 100+ degree temperatures often. Plus bugs. And the challenge of not drinkingdrinking too much coconut water. I saw another where they were plagued by mosquitos. And the most recent one I saw, I think it was a new one, they were up in Canada and couldn't get a fire going for the first couple nights and it was COLD and raining. The guy was supposed to be an expert fire starter and had never had a problem. They almost got hypothermia and they didn't sleep cause supposedly you can't sleep, have to stay awake and be moving so you don't fall into hypothermia. I was genuinely scared for them. But eventually they got a fire and they made it and they made a great team. Camped out on this rocky outface thing with lots of food and water, after that it was easy. They even had. little chipmunk friend stealing all their berries LOL

There was another one in Africa.

But you definitely lose weight
