They say some people just naturally attract them, and others don't. I have actually invested in some clothing that has repellent in the fabric. And also the repellant fabric spray. Not like regular bug sprays, its safe and dries on the fabric itself, doesn't smell or get on your skin. It has helped me alot when they are really bad. It definitely saves me during early archery season!

Bounce dryer sheets really do seem to help. I would put them on the things (usually fold them and stuff one in the back of their pants but that was so the girls couldn't reach them) they really did seem to work, the girls rarely got bit.

Watch out Phil, first someone's calling dibs on your dog and now WV is calling dibs on your lamp -- might want to double check your brake lines from here on out (and be suspicious of any goodies WV might decide to send you), seems folks might be looking to knock you off and take your stuff.........

I'll make him some special brownies.  You grab the dog, I'll grab the lamp...

But I just know that his ducklings would stop me dead in my tracks... I'd have to stop and hug them for a while, then I'd get caught.

Good morning everybody! And Happy Friday.

Phil, I hope your trip to the VA went well, I have a couple of friends who work there. And you dogs look very well behaved!

The baby goats look darling, can't wait to see a picture when they are about a week old. I would love a couple of goats, DH says I'm crazy. Seeing as I'm still waiting (a little less patiently) for my chicken coop I guess a goat barn is out of the question!

And finally about me: DH and I live in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan (not too far from Phil). We have forty acres on which we finally, after a five year wait, built the home of our dreams. We live with three dogs, two cats and assorted wildlife. I love to bake and most days I am in the kitchen when I'm not at work. We have two children, a daughter and a son. DD is in grad school, working on a PH.D. DS works in the financial sector. Both live in Milwaukee, which is a great place to visit but I wouldn't want to live there! And that's about it.

Yeah Milwaukee is a place to visit.... Glad my kids All moved to Traverse City

I like both Pepsi and Coke! Lol and i find sweet tea a little weird sometimes but i think I've only had the canned Arizona one and McDonald's and thos like arent sweet enough ha cause i had it in Florida once and it was so delicious. So i think I've just been drinking the wrong kinds. Some is too sweet though but the right one is delicious.


And I'm the same way with shopping except with me it can be for pets too. Although i find most pet stores over priced so buy online now but i used to impulse buy toys for the dog and sometimes would online too lol and books, CDs, and band merch lol

Yes I like both Coke and Pepsi.... Until recently I only drank Pepsi then something changed.... Now I'm on a diet so I'm limiting myself to one a day...

Ahhh I see. Yeah, I've seen a few episodes, it's pretty good haha but yeah, exactly! Though honestly I think it's more for the shock value and ratings than anything. Minimally clothed wouldn't be as entertaining. But they could be naked and at least habe sandals

I think it's an okay show.... I catch an episode here and there....

Princess and our daughter went to lunch yesterday and had a mother/daughter rebonding. I will make her breakfast and then go to a matinee production of the play that she is in. Am clueless as to what we will do for dinner. Mother's Day , in my experience, is a terrible day to eat at restaurants.

Yes, yes it is. Is the weather nice where you are? If so perhaps a picnic/cookout type dinner (if that's her speed)? I'm thinking I'll opt for pizza for dinner tonight so that I don't have to cook and I don't have to choose from things DH makes well, none of which are my favorite meals......but pizza, it's never a bad time to have pizza.
