I was thinking the same thing. The neighbors behind us are always playing with fire crackers, etc. I was working on the side of the garage and something went off LOUDLY near me. My mouth operates independently at such times. It yelled "You GD - mama f - " and so on. I was surprised that came out. One of the kids apologized and said he didn't know I was out there. I answered "That's the point, you don't know if someone is OUT . You scared the living s --- out of me." He must have been sincere, they never shot things toward my yard again.

DD, that must have been a startling experience but I did have to laugh...I had no idea you were such a salty communicator with a knack for turning a phrase!

Oh I see what you mean 4th July, we have the same problem with guns but they don't need an excuse. lol In the middle of the night scares the poop out of me. Well yes for fires all around the world I think, we are epecially vulnerable at the mo becaue the veldt is so dry due to Winter. People are so careless they chuck cig butt ends out of cars and start whopping gret fires. I hate it because all the wild life comes running to my plot and we have to put sprinklers on in the freezing weather and everything freezes obviously.

So far haven't had any major fires this year but its still early into Winter. You can always come and live in ZA, could do with your expertise, we have lots of room lol

Anyway all that being said HAVE A VERY HAPPY 4TH and ignore the neighbors if you can

This is turning out to be a BIG party!

My anniversary is the 8th, does that count?! I like ice cream cake. And I just finished a piece of cherry cobbler with vanilla ice cream.

Was gathering my documents for my dmv journey tomorrow (finally almost a year after moving lol) and looked at the title for the big honkin international truck that he just acquired. That's not that far out if registration I swear! (He wants to convert it into a "toterhome"

...2005. Yeah that's out. And since according to this it's over $900/year....mother trucker.

Good thing I'll be starting at Kmart soon...

'eating soap' - that reminds me of the scene in "Christmas Story" where the mother makes Ralphy hold a bar of soap in his mouth. When he has been punished enough, she takes a fast taste of soap and makes a

I would say Ralphie was a lucky boy! Mom used to scrub the bar really well across your teeth you tasted that Ivory soap for what seemed like forever!
I must have told that story too many times my children all had to have *body wash*

I was threatened often with the expression " wash your mouth out with soap," but, thankfully I don't recall having it done to me. Nowadays maybe it is considered child abuse like a spanking. The spankings, I do remember. And being threatened with my father's favorite weapon - his army belt.

@drumstick diva shame I also remember the 'weapon' mine was a plastic bat, b***** sore, if only I cold have sued them then I would be a rich by now lol
