LOL. Thanks for the pics! Right now I have no snow, no sheep, and no cats.

I lived most of my life in SoCal and I think we got a small dusting of snow maybe twice or 3 times in 50 years. Where I live in NM. we get some snow , usually an inch or 2 and it looks so pretty - and we don't have to shovel.

No sheep, but my daughter works for the Sheep Association so I get leftover stuff from conventions, like socks, lanolin lip balm, calendars, etc. Does that count?

Sorry I just don't care for cats at my house. Other people's are fine though!

a little update for you folks on the bench being built for mom.

got the sanding done this past weekend, and the paint has been completed. Now all that needs doin', is to attach the seat with a piano hinge.

Looks amazing TK! Are you doing a cushion for it?

I thought about it. depends on where mom wants to put it. outside, and I will have to get some outdoor material. inside, and I'll let her pick the material she wants me to use.

I hope so.......while I've done lots of work for her on the inside, from sheetrock and trim, their wood floors, even some raised panel wainscoting, she is very particular about her furniture. the house was built in the 1800's, and many of her pieces are period specific, or at least have that look.

I'd love to have a bench like that on my porch. (If I had a porch!)

Yes sir Scott, by the calendar you are correct, but last day of my work week.

LOL - I get that -- our "weeks" are all wonky here in this house - DS is M-F with school, DH is W-Sat with work and with me still not working yet I don't even have a schedule......very easy to get turned around on what day it actually is!

Good Morning everyone, getting a late start today. Whatever this head cold thing that I have is...it can leave anytime now. Work up at 4am with the most painful sore throat, but as a bonus, the Stars were lovely. And it's not so bad waking up when you know there is no alarm in the morning.

Schools are closed today, bitter cold here. I imagine Phil is feeling it too, and Ralphie.

I need to find some motivation today, I must be making a trip into town. But I would rather just stay home.

And to answer your question Grey Mare: we love westerns, I'm particularity partial to anything with John Wayne or Clint Eastwood, but I also like Gunsmoke and Cheyenne and the Rifleman.

And when we aren't watching Westerns its WWII movies!

Love the pictures -- the sheep look less than impressed, and I so miss having the helper kitties follow me through the trails from one barn/building to the next back home.

I think something more rustic would look nice at your house. I'm trying to find the either of the two benches I did for my parent's in law, and my sister in law. both of them were more rustic looking.

And i must admit it is night for me in a way - 527 ans have yet to sleep
