He’s a pug. My first. We got him when we lost our first (after marriage) dog. I was very pregnant & trying to take care of two young kids & the grief was immense. I believe he saved my life. Turned out he had doggy Aspergers, so I think I ultimately saved his life too. He’s never left my side since I brought him home, never. When I leave the house he waits by the door for me.
He sounds like a lovely boy. Glad you two found each other :hugs

I feel in the interests of gender fairness that I should point out that in my case at least, I do not pee on everything.
For example, I learn't very quickly not to pee anywhere near electric fencing.
There are lots of other places I don't pee as well; in the fridge, or on the cooker to site just two examples.

Guess that means you're housebroke!

When it comes to the male vs. female thing, any male cats I've had been great while most of the females have been crazy.

Hi all. Sorta gobsmacked a little. I mean it's October & it's snowing? The white stuff that falls from the sky? Seriously? How can you people live somewhere like that?
Ok, don't shoot me. It never snows where I live ~ & I mean never. I know nothing about the stuff, except that it's cold. And wet. And cold... Brrrrr

Most of the people I've met around here drink throughout the winter. Not me, I just gripe a lot

It's been quite a while since you shared a Meatball picture Roomy. Care to share one with us? He's a cute little guy and it's wonderful the two of you found each other.

Ah well, Drinking is a National Sport in this country. :lau Gives me migraines so I cuddle cats & talk to the chooks instead. :p

It does not snow where I live either. Some years it barely rains!

Here once you get a real snow that blankets everything, it feels like it has been there forever. I know I forget what plain ground looks like.

Bad thing for this year is I could always count on wearing my fleece lined denim jeans from LLBean. But I haven't see any in their catalog or on line this year. Flannel lined does not count, it doesn't wear well and is a waste of money - to me anyway.

Lands End made some many years ago, I still have the pair. Too big for me now. At least they fit then. Bean's always leaves enough room for two behinds and industrial width thighs. Doesn't matter how many women have brought this to their attention. While the men's product comes in many fits. Men's products are made better with better fabric.
I have ordered from them (and LE) since the 90's.
I hope you find the britches you want!

Agreed. This is definitely what I’m hoping for. A lifetime of dogs & that’s only happened once when I was a little kid. I’m hoping The Dog Gods will have pity on me just this one time.

Yeeeeaah... none of my dogs (nor the cat) got the memo on this.

I think once they get me completely pushed to the edge of the bed I should get up & move to the opposite side.

:gigYea our dogs take the whole bed. I haven't slept next to a human in over a decade!

Hear ya on the rain. We could do with quite a bit ourselves just now.
raining.gif We need rain to reduce the fire danger.

The drizzle we had yesterday and the cloud cover we've had today has made the looser soil slightly moist and the roosters as well as the hens have been taking long baths.
Mel found a nice spot next to Blackies grave to bath. She's on her own with the chicks and the spot she chose is on the Goshawk strike path.
I sat with her a while and waited for Treacle to turn up; Treacle is on tribe broody and chicks watch while Cillin (senior rooster) looks after the rest. I haven't looked at the wounds Mel got last year from a Goshawk attack on her and her chick who incidentally grew up to be Treacle.
Very difficult to get good pictures. Need a very fast shutter speed to stop the blur.
The scars are still clearly there (14 stitches in total) and the feather follicles are only just starting to produce proper feathers again.
What the slow shutter speed does show is that her head is still while the rest of her body shakes. I've often wondered if their vision is effected by vigorous movement.
She's having a bit of a moult but nothing like her sister Fudge who looks depressed and uncomfortable.
The last picture was mistimed and a bit awkward one handed. It was meant to show the stitch lines.
