It's an interesting question. If you asked on the general forums people will likely tell you that chickens don't know who they are related to and it won't make any difference and you'll probably get laughed at for suggesting they might.I assumed that this would be the case.
But what will happen on the next broody batch? When the next generation of cockerels are growing up, how will either Fabio or Captain know if the chick is theirs? I will likely be able to figure it at but how will they?
Further, for those interested in both sex stable flocks I've suggested that a single breed works best starting with a pair (not necessarily related) as a starting point.I assumed that this would be the case.
