BYC Café

We had goats at our place in north FL, they were good at clearing! But a bit picky about what they wanted to clear for us.

Are you going to get some place in Virginia FC?
Yes. We are looking to get closer to my parents, but stay in the woods with not as many neighbors. We want to have land for the dogs, birds, and other livestock we want to get. Husband wants pigs/goats and I want emus!

Good luck with that.:D We've had goats here and they would much rather eat the vegetable garden, potted plants, laundry hanging on the line, in fact anything rather than go into the big bad woods.
Hire a brush cutting team and get the job done this decade.:)
Our goats loved brush and weeds, even small trees got mashed down and all the leaves eaten off.

Good afternoon Cafe.
Below are picture of what the project land is like.:hmm
As Pau pointed out, you could stock that with 100 chickens and never see them again.:lau

We found 11 of these trees. The Catalan name for them is Arboc with an accent over the c. I call them strawberry trees. The fruit is edible and chicken will eat it. View attachment 1969162

We got 12 pines down this morning roots as well. The technique is to cut them high and loosen one side of the soil around the tree and pull them down with a tractor.
A lot of the pines here are dying due to beetles. We have had quite a few fall over. Many just lean on other trees to become widow makers .

Beautiful! You should post that in NFCs feather contest. I’m too tired to find the link tonight but will look it up tomorrow if you’re interested.

We have Aldi & TJs here. Did you know they are family? Brothers, if I remember correctly. I’m too tired to find that link too.

Its my guess that the carts that use quarters or have alarms or tall bars on them are to keep the homeless people from stealing them. We have an enormous homeless population here & they all have a cart or two. I don’t use a cart in small stores like that, but have to use one in costco.
Here a couple of places have wheels that lock up if you go over a line at the edge of the parking lot.
