BYC Café

I can't remember what holiday it was, but my mama, Aunt and I were making deviled eggs. They were all ready to go and ma picked up the plate to put it on the table and it slipped and she dropped them on the floor. We all looked at each other with "oh sh*t" faces... All of our hard work! Then we proceeded to pick them up and put them back on the plate. No one was the wiser :lau

5 second rule anyone?

Happy Turkey Day, Sean! No, hubby put several bullets in it to be sure! That's what I thought at first, but it didn't even try to make a run for it when we went back to get a gun.
I've had possums around my pens but they never have tried to get any of my birds. I guess Texas possum's don't like pheasant! :idunnoI just "leave them be" ...."live and let live"!

We are the same with wild animals. I don't usually kill them for getting a meal, it's my fault for not protecting them. I've only lost 2 chicks in 5 years... One to a raven the other to a black snake. Not many things will mess with Squatch. He's my precious boy...

Here's him messing with my puggle. She's 13 lbs. He pecked the pit bull/lab mix and I thought she was going to go through the fence and get him :gigShe was so angry, he wasn't gentle either.

**Everybody told me to cull this boy months ago when he attacked me. He hasn't done it since, we have mutual respect now. He knows I'm the flock leader. I just saved them a few days ago from a huge bird! He ran like a little baby and called for back up. My polish blue footed boobie kicked it's bum though! She's a feisty girl!

The black specks? Oh, that's pepper! :gig

I thought it was the 3 second rule. My mother dropped a roast on the kitchen floor - I was the only witness. She brushed it off and proclaimed it was fine. It was! Getting used to all kinds of bacteria as a child, gives you lifetime immunity :lau
