My new mattress arrived - whooppee, I think. It's higher than the one I had before. I got on and it was like "nose bleed" altitude" - started getting a vertigo attack right there.

I'm missing the old one already. We've been together since the 70's even longer than I've known my son. I was surprised how good it looked. I take good care of things. Had not 1, not 2 but 3 mattress covers over it.

The delivery guys covered it up with the plastic that covered the new one. That was nice ,like paying last respects. Yes, I get very attached to things I care about. Imagine how I feel about family, friends and pets.!

Hopefully you'll sleep like a baby??

We'll, yes, there is that. Seriously, give it a chance. You need a good mattress.
I have a Tempurpedic knock off. It's amazingly comfortable. I've had it for 10 years. There are no springs to weaken. It's as firm today as the day I bought it.

Im adding into our run so it'll be even bigger once I'm done with it. I honestly want to move the ducks to their own area, they're so dirty. I should've just bought all muscovy and not the Pekins.

Yeah, the mess and disgustingness is a big part of why I haven’t gotten ducks yet.

Well, that and my dad doesn’t like them. I’ll at least oblige by that lol

Fort Cluck have you checked Craig's List for low cost or free chain link fencing? It comes up often when someone gets rid of their dog. Makes it easy to put up the "bones" for bigger runs - just add some 1/2" hardware cloth up about 18" from the bottom. Sometimes they even sell or dump perfectly good dog houses - which can be repurposed.

That’s what I’m planning on doing for my new coops. Though I might still do hoop coop (cattle panels) for the coop part. Don’t know yet.

But I’ve been using a dog kennel for my run since I got my girls and I really like it. Recently got another one for the new coop/run and I’m going to get another one or two probably for the other one and to expand the other run.

Oh will have to take photos bought the two Blue Cochin these are not suppose to be bantam they are not roosting they sleep on the floor ? the speckled sleep on the roost
not the cochin ?

My cochins all roost, though young ones may not.
