Actually the kennel had me sign a waiver and I also was put on their staff so that I was under their insurance. I also had to have my parents come in and sign a waiver as well and give my insurance information to them.
I was not allowed to interact with the dogs until I had a month of training from the owner. She actually ran training classes, grooming classes, and kennel classes as her job. She was a very smart person and very educated. She was trained by some of the best in the United States.
I'm glad I had those experiences as early as I did because if I had waited I would have never had a chance to experience it. I'm just glad that this woman took me under her wings and really gave me a good head start.
