What's that that's blooming? And do you plant anything up there?
I can't remember what it's called Meg. I have been told a number of times but it just hasn't sunk in.
I do plant up there but not much and not on the roof itself. there is a sort of trench where the original ground stops and the backfill starts. It's a bout three feet wide. Because it's slightly sunken and at the bottom of a slight slope it provides a bit of shade and stays a bit moister than the roof. I plant in there ate the end of March. Usually a few onions, garlic, chilli and anything else I can think of that the chickens wont eat.

Ah, that's good to know they don't eat those. My garden is fenced and I've never had one fly into it. I wasn't sure what they would/wouldn't eat aside from what I've read. Except grass seed. I know they'll eat that!
 
My roof tends to be rather busy.
