I think night hunting is pretty popular in the states for wild boar, but I don't think it's illegal. Do you have a problem with them there? I've read they are a big problem in many places here. I read earlier this year that they'd made it into Montana from Canada, but haven't heard anything since. Can't say. It's illegal to hunt at night here. I know nothing.
I don't really know them Meg. I get to see them because I'm often out at dusk when they set up. Also, they ask permission to hunt on the land and I'm the obvious person to ask given I'm often the only person here.
People do have problems with them. A family of wild boar in your vegetable garden isn't a happy experience.I think night hunting is pretty popular in the states for wild boar, but I don't think it's illegal. Glad you get some good grub out of the deal!![]()
so sorry! people have been reacting differently all over. long term, mild symptoms---short term, extreme flu like symptoms---some extremely long term fatigue symptomsDoes anyone have experience with this covid stuff? My brother is still sick. This is day 16 from him first feeling sick and now he's got a fever of 100.6. I guess I was under the impression that it didn't last this long.
Are they imported? I bet they are fun to watch. I'd like to see them, but I don't want them around here. Mostly because of the "crud" they apparently carry, but also because of the hay fields we depend on, though I doubt they'd be an issue in town. And we really don't need something else we can hit on the road either!People do have problems with them. A family of wild boar in your vegetable garden isn't a happy experience.
For me it's about balance. I like that there are still some intimidating creatures wild here. People tend to make judgements on their attitude to competition/danger and that's usually kill it if they can. The thing is most other creatures aren't like that and the wild boar are no exception. Don't bother them and they wont bother you.
They get on the motorways from time to time and there''s a huge outcry because someone bent their shiny care when they ran one down. Oh dear, how awful is that.
I like to watch them in the walnut season here. They come for the nuts. Some of the males are quite impressive and the piglets running accross the field while dad keeps guard is great to watch.
The night hunters are good at what they do unlike the daytime gun club that runs about the woods here letting off firearms at anything that moves.
Thanks, Cheep. I thought he'd be way on the mend by now.so sorry! people have been reacting differently all over. long term, mild symptoms---short term, extreme flu like symptoms---some extremely long term fatigue symptoms

Our state got the bright idea to put in "wildlife friendly" fences down our interstate a couple years ago. I've never seen so many animals hit, it's madness. I wish they'd spend the money to put those bridges in. Seems like I read that they work...![]()
