BYC Café

It's pretty obvious after all.
True but calling someone on it is another story..... let alone fining them.

Finally got some dry oak brought down. The difference in heat output compared to the damp pine that we have loads of that just needs getting rid of is incredible
I'll bet!!

Tell ya I love my black tea late night .. Both my folks drank coffee, after Dad died by a few years Ma started with Wayne great big Swede he drank tea black .. She switched to tea with him .. Wayne had been single like 35 years .. he and Ma stayed together that long

The wearing of masks in particular is not hard to police. It's pretty obvious after all.
But what are the legal requirements and penalties for not wearing a mask? There are none in my state even though mask wearing in any building open to the public is mandatory (no penalties, people are supposed to do the "right thing"). Shy of having armed guards at the door of every establishment, what can be done? People have been attacked by non mask wearers when challenged. I'm sure it is rare but there are a lot of people in this country that think a mask requirement is taking away their freedoms. And yes they DO wear clothes, including shirt and shoes, in public. Must be that requirement isn't an affront to their freedoms.

Was warm yesterday...and SUNNY!
No sunny here! We are supposed to get to 40°F tomorrow but Mr. NOAA is generally 5°F optimistic for where we live so we probably won't see above 35°F

@Meg-in-MT wow what a cake! Your icing is something to behold!

I have to do the Christmas cake next week, and always do the rough top version because I can't get a smooth surface before it starts setting, so I really appreciate your skills!
Thank you, Perris! That's very nice of you. American buttercream is hard, for me at least, to get a smooth and flat surface on. Great for piping, though, as long as it isn't too warm. I will try Swiss or Italian merengue buttercream on the next one.

Is the Christmas cake the one that's soaked in alcohol?
The headbone is connected to the .... well EVERYTHING! The next question is:
What hurts now that you got your shoulders worked on? I'll go in for my massage with usual hip, back, neck and shoulders "complaints" and when those feel better find out my calves really hurt, just masked by the "higher" pains.
The RA has caused bursitis or tendonitis in both shoulders. As tight as the muscle/tendon/what-have you's have been it knocked my shoulders out of whack as well? They still hurt, but I can move them better.
How I envy you!!! Since COVID officially started here in Germany in January, I had to go without my weekly physiotherapist sessions as all these activities are still not allowed, only doctor appointments for severe (life threatening) cases making reservations in advance.
By now I often feel twisted and knotted like this https://media1.faz.net/ppmedia/vide...a_overview/gordischer-knoten-staatsreform.jpg :barnie
I'm sorry to hear that, LaFleche! How you feel physically sure makes a difference in your overall wellbeing. Is there any end in sight on those lockdowns?

Good afternoon Cafe. Thanks for the coffee Tonya ☕
Is the Christmas cake the one that's soaked in alcohol?
yes; it's really quite powerful now 🙃 I'm trying Calvados in it for the first time this year; I usually use sherry or Kirsch, but I thought this would probably work well with all the fruit too. We'll know soon!
