Morning Cafe 36 here this morning .. Light sprinkles
cleaned the ash from the wood stove .. Take it to banty coop...

Really blowing out there now. Whiteout conditions on the roads, I bet. I think we got 3" of snow and there's more coming down.

Even with baffling over the lower half of the south facing opening in the coop, snow was blowing in with the really stiff west-southwest wind. So I stapled a feed bag over the upper half on the outside.

DH is thinking about just staying at work overnight. I walked out to the mailbox (1/4 mile from the house). The mail was delivered, but I couldn't see the tire prints. If they did plow our road, you can't tell. If they didn't, they probably aren't going to until tomorrow. When hopefully the wind dies down.

Ha! Those poor girls couldn't handle the day in the life of a cow during winter. They'd freeze to death! Though, I'm not one to talk...pictures to come when it warms up a smidgen

We laughed about a hotel going up next to where DH works. Hotel by a fabrication facility? Guests can look out the hotel window and see DH's coworkers take a break or have a bar-b-que on the back patio behind the business.

Well, it's pretty darn handy now!

Blowing here, but not as much snow is sticking.
Radar shows it's much heavier up by you...but that might change later.
Never know what the Lake Effect Machine will do!

We're at -4* now and have about 5" of the white stuff on the ground. Good thing the Cafe is open 24/7 with plenty of coffee!
