BYC Café

Good morning and thanks for the hot coffee!
That sounds like a good plan, DL, and I hope that they are willing to listen.
It is warmer here thanks to the breezes. We are supposed to get near freezing... and then more cold single digits and snow.
98F and humidity is a very hard thing to deal with, but by golly it almost sounds nice right now!
MORF refused to go to his last treatment, so now S has to try and get him in this coming week and I think I am driving. I will call him today and try to explain that refusing has put him on a LIST of elder people that are at risk because they are not taking care of themselves. He is off the steroids now so he should improve over the next few days, assuming that is the real cause of the dizziness. I'll be roping and dragging his unhappy arse to the Doc if it doesn't.
My mom for awhile had dizzy spell, and especially when she first woke up in the morning. She was unsteady due to feeling her head is spinning. Her doctor got her to a hearing test and she is now wearing a hearing aid and the dizziness disappeared.

It turned out that she is losing her hearing even though it was not so noticeable to mom, but it was enough to cause her dizziness and her Dr also told her that if she refused to wear a hearing aid, she will experience mental decline due to the decline in her hearing and it will escalate faster without a hearing aid.

Mom hates wearing hearing aid, she can hear traffic from a far that she did not hear before.

Just a cleaning, easy peasy. Nerve pain -- I get it. I live with nerve pain every day of my life - messed up vertebrae and sciatica that screams so loud some days I can barely walk. Interestingly, folks in this climate that suffer nerve pain indicate they have less pain in cold weather and have two homes, one north for summer months as the nerve pain intensifies in hot weather so they head north from May - October. I agree nerve pain intensifies in extreme heat but bone and joint pain intensify in extreme cold. I am loving this cold weather, not only a nice reprieve from the 9 months of summer here but decreased nerve pain but now the skeletal system is mad. Don't know where the sweet spot in this country would be for a nice balance of both those issues.
I feel more knees pain in cold weather as if my knees can tell what the weather will be.😄

Here's something that bugs me when I'm typing. The degree sign (since we've been talking about temps a lot) is made by ALT + 0176.

Sometimes, that works. Sometimes, I get dumped out of BYC and see this:
