I haven't even started thinking about that yet - gotta get through with Christmas stuff first. But I've been looking at a lot of different patterns.

SS note - Just got back from the Post Office. Karan, I LOVE everything!! There's a Christmasy hotpad, two adorable cornhusk dolls, and a crocheted "plastic bag" bag (to put all my plastic grocery store bags in. Can't wait to get pics posted for ya'll - the bag has chicks on it! So cute! Thanks so much, Santa Karan!

I'm doing Christmas first too, but probably going to do circles for the swap. My new project's feet didn't turn out so I am backpedaling a bit to get those to work.

Yay LC and Karan! Sounds great!

Here's my last thoughts on the voting. I think I am going to close it. I think that new threads should be discussed still before starting them, and then we will just see what happens. I think we have enough people who can catch the other people up with the adoption and the general flow of things. As SE said, if it ain't broke, don't fix it...

SO, let's just keep going with the flow and try to keep the craziness to a level we can help people get caught up on... Sound good?

Woooohooo! I would like to join the Spring Swap. I have been adopted and everything. I have been assured that no one will laugh too awfully much at my traditional squares. I may even try to expand my knowledge with a new book as a treat! This is my last week of school until Jan 5. So I plan on having some fun! I look forward to much idol chatter and gibby gabbing.

Hee hee, someone go over to the adoption thread and adopt yourself a PineBurrowPeeps! She's a cutey! Here's what she has to say:

"So am I still for adoption?

Here's some about me:

I am housebroken, young, cute, and I don't eat alot. I am good on a leash, up to date on my shots but I'm not spayed. I love a good romp outside and to play ball or to curl up in front of the fireplace with a book. I am loving and affectionate but not a face licker and I won't chew your shoes, I'll wear them (anyone have any Manolo Blahnik?droolin).

Anyone want me?"

Remember to PM your buddy and let them know you adopted them! Thanks! https://www.backyardchickens.com/forum/viewtopic.php?pid=1319730#p1319730

Hi, everyone! Hope you all are doing well and staying warm

I haven't got my squares yet-they're several days late and I'm blaming it on Christmas.

Last week was crazy. Long story short, Dad heard on the radio that Grace College & Seminary was automatically accepting graduates from my Alma Mater, Ivy Tech Community College for a special accelerated Bachelor's Degree program. He told Mom, who looked it up online, liked what she saw, and entered my information in to get more info. I got the info, thought it sounded good went through the application process last week. Now all I have to do is wait!

I'm still not sure if it's the Lord's will, but he'll show me! I've always wanted to get my Bachelor's degree, but cost was an issue. This degree will cost only about a year's income for me and I might be able to get financial aid.

The possibility of getting a degree from Grace College & Seminary is so exciting- my Grandma S graduated in one of their first classes, my Mom briefly attended there, and a great aunt boarded seminary students for many years so I'd be continuing the family history there

Have a wonderful day, everyone!

Its actually cold enough in CA today that I put on a sweater and long pants! I think we hit freezing. LOL I guess that I could turn on the heat. Nah, waste of money, besides, the sun is finally out so it should warm up a bit. Oops, I take that back, the clouds are rolling in again so probably more rain on the way.
The whole back bird pasture is a series of mud holes from the rain so the ducks are in heaven and the Sebastopols are covered with mud. yuk. The duck's night pen was flooded. Nothing quite like a slop of shavings, straw and duck poo.

The polish pen's roof is collapsing and its pretty wet in there. Im going to have to find another pen for them until my ex-bro-in-law finishes the new covered pen Im having him build. That could be next year at the rate he's going. He cant even manage to show up to work until 1pm and then Im lucky if he works 3 hours. Gaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah! I need a gun.
Oh, and we trapped our 6th skunk in 9 days. Phew.

You can PM them with the link to the club and mention that we love newcomers, and tell them what goes on here. Pretty much how I dragged you here.

Amigurumi is what you call the critters, Algo.
