BYC Forum Performance Issues - Do you notice anything odd?

Same here. So what's the scoop? I'm not complaining, it's worth the wait.

I noticed later on last night it started getting slower and slower. I got on this morning and I've had to refresh several times and click the links several times for it to work. When I go to enter text in the boxes it seems like it takes a while for it to show up, it lags. I have DSL and only one window open at a time, no other programs running and it still does it.

Okay, I made some changes. Let me know if things are bettor or still slow.

My guess for the site loading each page so slowly (also when clicking on the 'back' button it almost seemed to be 'refreshing' the previous page), would be that the new 'ads' are doing something goofy. Now that the ad is gone though, the zip is back to the site...except for those people who *STILL* refuse to learn how to compress/resize pictures!!

EXTREMELYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY slow today (1-5-08), so slow it wouldn't load the other pages of this thread even in minutes (other threads also extremely slow to access) so I couldn't read them and skipped right to posting reply. It wasn't nearly this slow yesterday. Today all but unusable.Thanks for checking/asking!

Hmmmmm....looking at the other posts on this page, things seem to be improving for others just as I can't get anything to respond. Thought I'd mention this in case it helps with diagnosing - though it seems it would only confound the situation!
