I love roses but I prefer less fussy plants. @City farm
, yours is beautiful. I've actually been trying to kill a scraggly rose in a bad spot for a few years. It just look depressing and in the wrong place, too.

Built and painted a few raised beds yesterday out of a few scrap pieces of picket from my Father in Law. We also bought 2 x 4s for framing out the coop. Which I am told is my next project instead of my patio table (he said something about priorities- guess he doesn't want indoor chickUNS).

I still need to find my sd card so I can start taking photos. I owe someone pictures of my growing setup in the basement.

We give our flock the roses after they are about ready to wilt.. i will take more photos as well..

Me! Love, love my garden! Have been working (mostly) on my perennial beds. I have managed to get some broccoli, cabbage and peas out. Did put a few tomatoes out, hoping to get an early start. :) Much, much more to do! Love me some Spring!

That is why our only flowers are a couple of tulips. My gardening philosophy is that if it isn't edible, I don't really need it. We did get some poppy seeds though, I should probably plant them soon.

Now, now Sam... Chickens love dandelions. And bunnies do too. Plus they add a lovely yellow color. If you want to get rid of them though, Fiskars makes a great tool for pulling out the roots.

Hey that looks like it may work... I use a track shovel... I also hate dandelions because punky is bordering on deathly allergic to them. But yeah, great food and a valuable medicinal herb... Oh and you can make a butt kicking wine from the flowers also.
