Oh nice! I hope they make it. I planted some pumpkins as an experiment that I had to transplant four out of 22 look a little weak.I trans planted a number of watermelons. WOrried as they dont like transplanting; worried as the manure is a bit raw in places; worried that it is a bit late in June. Praying for a few melons !!!!!
Will set the other starts in another garden under different conditions, just as a back up.Will know in 3 months!!
I didn't know that, interesting.If you plant squash or pumpkin put the chickens in when the flowers open as they eat the worm which live inside the flower and stops it from boring into the gourds. Also those flowers are good to eat wash and dry well, dip in batter (like tempura batter and deep fry)
