That's a great source of winter mulch. I only have oak leaves and about a ton of acorns.

Does anyone have ideas on controlling aphids in a greenhouse? I'm having limited success with insecticidal soap and they're going to take over the world at this rate. Thanks!

Winter or summer it's a good mulch. I get alot of oak leaves too, mostly they go into the compost heap.

Never really dealt with aphids

I have been trying for the past few months. I tried starting one from seed. Didn't ever grow. Except lots of mold... then I did my next two from the store. Both were half dead when I bought them.
Now I am doing a pitcher plant from seed. It just sent up a shoot this week! I am really excited about it.
