I have to plant in october or november otherwise my garlic plants aren't big enough when it gets hot in may.I did that last year and ended up having to harvest extra early. I've switched to starting in January and February so hopefully it will get to where it needs to be.
Thanks!Dan, not only are you an excellent gardener, but you have a real talent for photography.
I don't. I consider myself lucky to have a sister who can take amazing pictures and can teach me too.Don't consider yourself to be overshadowed. You stand on your own merit.
Okay that is SO COOL.So back in january I pruned my moms rosebush and I tossed the trimmings in a leaf pile and pretty much forgot about them, well today I was taking some shovel loads of leaves and ran into a bunch of sticks at the bottom so I pulled them out to make it easier to get the leaves and they were my rose trimmings, buds swollen still green and callouses on the ends!I tried rooting some cuttings of that same bush in 2014/2015 and not one took![]()

The wood of some of these trimmings is over 4 years old.

I find it funny (And a bit annoying) that they wouldn't root when I tried to root them but they started to when I thew them in the leaf pile and left them to rotOkay that is SO COOL.
Thanks.Dan I love the pics of your flowers very pretty. And wow on the rose cuttings!
