Very nice. I am still waiting for the last frost and then planting my goodies. But first this week I need to improve my soil.
Does someone using a mushroom soil ? how do you improve your soil each year ?

I go the 'no till' route so I sheet mulch with compost, wood chips, leaf mold, worm castings etc. I let the worms and the soil microbes do the work for me

I do not till as well since I have raised beds because of limited space in the backyard. I need to add new soil this year and I was reading about this mushroom soil that is very good to add to the existing soil for improvement. I found a local place that sells the stuff and I am wondering.

I've never used it personally as I try to produce soil without too much outside input but I've heard good things about it from others.

Never used it but a friend did . I think she used it wrong . It dried out really fast . So I think mixing it in is best . She used a heavy layer in her flower beds and planted in it . She complained about having to water more .

That's what I'm thinking, just mix some with my soil, not to replace it. I don't know,my husband wants to go for it and I think we will try.

September, maybe 4 inches tall

Today, about a foot tall. I blame their growth spurt on the hairy vetch plant that took up residence in their pot
