Mine were about 4 yrs. When I lost the last ones. I am going to try pine straw over them this winter.

Ah. Good luck. I wish I knew what variety these are because they survived that ice storm we had in 2014

Yeah, I've never seen them send out runners though

Really. Mine didn't either I bought them from a nursery so I did not know what kind they were. These I have now are earlyglow they are suppose to be good producers. If they send out runners I will encourage them.

Probably on clearance at walmart

Oh, nice. Me too! My dad got me some sequoia strawberries back in january so we'll see how those do.

Joining in on the gardening. It is one of my favorite hobbies. Still lack 2 rows planting. But all seems to be doing good.

Cucumbers, squash, cauliflower, yellow & purple onions, sweet snap peas, celebrity tomatoes, cherry tomatoes, okra, green beans, pinto beans, jalepeno peppers, bell peppers, egg plant, potatoes, sweet potatoes, asparagus, basil, cilatro, watermelon & cantalope.

Sounds like Alpine strawberry . They do not produce runners .

At the moment we've still had cold here so my potato's are sprouting in the 5 gallon bucket towers and I have tomato and pepper seeds started sprouting and a few herbs.. Husband has been working on tilling. We want a big garden this year to try to grow as much of our own produce as we can.
