I have 4 9 week old chicks. They discovered the mulberry trees today and went nuts. There is a large section that is so full it touches the ground perfect for my lil girls.

i dont think they have a lot of flavor i prefer my raspberries. But they arent bad. My kids love them. We have two trees that were here when we moved so there are a ton for them my girls and to keep the birds out of my other berries. Great for shade and climbing too.

I ate one of our first strawberry's today!

I think we will have a great crop this year. Anyone else have strawberry's coming?

Snuck one from our lil patch on my way to work today! Saw that the one next to it had been eaten by something, arrrg so I sampled before they came back. Grabbed a handful of blueberries for my yogurt and the hens' lol yummy! I adore being able to instantly compliment a food dish from the garden

I planted a Meyers lemon tree, a kumquat tree & some Angel trumpets.

Hydrangeas coming in ! Yay! I didn't prune to late lol

And on other note...yesterday a mole wrecked HAVOC on my small garden. I am beyond furious. I tried to drown/flush it out only to find it mist have been there a lil while...tunnels everywhere, plants were uprooted this morning. Ug. The dog will NOT dig in the gardens. I begged. She will dig basketball size holes ALL over to hunt a mole. She's great at it! But she refuses to do anything but sniff in the beds lol
