Cucumis sativus, apparently...

I think its the shade...a type of blanching going on.
My purple plants if put in shade (full Sun plants that is) will turn green, cauliflower is a good example- if you let a short leafed cauliflower get sunlight the head will turn a different color usually purple. But if you cover the head as it grows it stays white. I had a whole row of purple cauliflower a few years back...pretty but a different taste and not what I wanted lol.
Marketmore is the type.

I thought they were all green. I'll double check later. My iPad won't charge though and is about to croak!

My tomatoes are fruiting too! Wish some would ripen up....anxiously awaiting that first ripe tomato!

Plants are sprawling all over as I got distracted by some other stuff and didn't get them staked. Hopefully will rectify that this evening.

My garden eats mulch.

I got 5 lbs of green beans (Provider and Royalty purple podded), more than 2 lbs of cucumbers, some Pariasan carrots (hard clay soil, so round ones grow best for me), some new potatoes (don't think my yield is going to be what I was hoping for -- I was hoping for 200+ lbs total, but I only got a few potatoes from the three small plants I dug at this morning -- and some random squash this morning.

Once the tomatoes come in, I'll be overrun. Millions of green ones.

Wasn't planning to make pickles today, but looks like that is what I'm doing. Must pick up some freezer bags to store all the beans as I haven't gotten around to ordering a pressure canner yet.
