If you are asking about my rainbow mix seeds my daughter started last night, I am unsure of the name. They just called it "pepper mix" but the package said some will be purple, white, orange, red etc.

The seeds I dried myself were plain green pepper.

Love you're page with photos.. it is interesting that each year some weeds grow in some weeds don't.

x2 I had never considered giving hens the weeds but mine aren't even fully feathered yet. I've got some time to learn.
Thanks.

It's amazing that a lot of the plants that we consider ''weeds'' actually are very nutritious and many of them have medicinal properties.

Been planting between the rain here. Stuff in the ground is coming up good. It will need some sunshine soon. Besides root crops we have a assortment of heirloom tomatoes and peppers - herbs - flowers many of those for the chickens. I plan on corn and a variety of heirloom gourds also. Salad crops we grow in containers to keep the rabbits and tree rats out of. We also have planted apple trees this year.
We also propagate some "weeds" Yarrow for one.

I have posted all this on my forum find link on my profile

RE: Husbands and new ideas: it's a wise wife who plants the seed of an idea in her husband's mind and waters it well, cultivates it, and tends it gently until he becomes thoroughly convinced that it's his idea, and not only is it his idea, but it's one of the better one's he's come up with in a long time. So many arguments are prevented with this approach.
There are males here & we can read, ya know. This explains a lot as to why things are the way they are around here. The wife plants the seeds but then forgets to cultivate & water them, so nothing gets done. I always suspected she was to blame. Now I have proof! Perhaps open & honest discussion would work far, far better than guile & trickery!
