You have my sympathy regarding joint pain that interferes with your pleasure! I think those pools would be tippy and/or collapse if raised up on blocks. Have you looked into straw or hay bale gardening? Sounds like it may be just what the "dr. ordered". You could even set your bales up on top of a pallet or two to raise it even higher. And you could put a tarp or plastic between the bales and the pallet, to recycle your water. (let the water collect in a basin or lined hole in the ground, and then pump it back up with an aquarium pump. It takes about 2 weeks to prepare a bale for planting.Just in case anyone might want to order from Summerstone Nursery they are spring code for free shipping "springfree".
I ordered some things and got free shipping.
I am going to try to plant in the kiddie pools I had used and are just laying around. I hope to plant strawberries in one and some herbs and a few veggies in another.
I also ordered a Raintree drip kit so that when we are camping I won't have to worry.
I am trying to figure out a way to raise the pools off the ground so I won't have to bend over much as I am needing hip replacement surgery.
I do have some concrete blocks laying around and I was thinking about trying to use them but I was wondering if the pools would be wobbly on blocks.
