Well it's dumb. There are tons of breeders across Canada who sell them and say "The ultra rare Ayam Cemani" and then there are 2 or 3 Barred Rock breeders who say "The Popular American Favorite!" Pffff...heh yeah.

Someone had a chick with willow legs pop from a blue cuckoo rooster with yellow legs and red star hens, thus meaning the cuckoo hid the dermal melanin. The reason it had dermal melanin is because it was an E/E rooster, blue is a dilution of black. Yay! Complicating things further.![]()

the barred rocks I bought the breeder said they were "purebred" and I thought, hmm, they don't say which line that's weird for a pure breed. Their idea of pure bred was they got hatchery chicks from 2 different hatcheries and crossed those 2 lines together, not allowing in any other BR's.Well it's dumb.
