Thanks a bunch for the documentation. I agree that over complicating it with all of the forum goodies and building from the ground up may make things go wrong and would definitely make them a tad slower. It will take a while to get through but I am starting to see this thing as being ready to happen! The wordpress plugin might be helpful too.

I believe we still need a few color patterns decoded. And then we need to figure out and sort what is dominant, recessive, co dominant etc.

Cresting is a dominant gene. To get a crest like the one Polish have the chicken has to have a vaulted skull.

I don't know, but I do know if you cross a crested, vaulted skull bird with a regular headed bird the offspring will be crested, but not have vaulted skulls. I'm not sure if this is always true, though, or how it works completely.
