If it makes any difference I will tell you my bird's diet.
24/7 free range. All day, everyday. 100% of their diet is whatever they can find. I don't feed supplemental grain or feed.

I've finally tracked down the technical terms for the inner and outer shell.

I don't have year round forage in WI.
But spring and summer, there is SO MUCH forage available that it's impractical to feed supplemental grain. Might as well let them get their own food.

If it's alright with you guys, I'm going to start another spreadsheet.
This spreadsheet will be used for the genetics controlling physical characteristics such as comb type, leg color, eye color, earlobe color, number of toes, crested/muffed/bearded, silkied, vulture hocks, and hen feathering.
For now, I will be the only one working on this spreadsheet.
