Hey @Cyprus , are we going to include a genetic preset for each breed and variety as well??

Lols. Authority? I may study them in my spare time, but I only have an elementary knowledge of genetics!Seems like only @AMERAUCANAS4REAL and @Cyprus are the only authorities on genes who responded (I hope I am right on who I said) and are willing to help...
Dutch languageYea...good idea. I was considering we all study KippenJungle for ideas. It works 99% of the time but is all messy with the German language. If we get an idea of how he coded it (maybe even inspect his html coding on his website), we could find a point of departure?![]()
Yup. All written in perfect English.@BlackHackle
I'm looking into the html code right now.
It's in Dutch, not German.
Due to similarities in the language, I can understand a fair deal of what is written. However, I cannot understand all of it.
Okay, I read on a bit more in the HTML code.
Good news to all you non-dutch or German speaking coders.
It is first written in Dutch, but if you scroll down a bit it is then translated into perfect English. Easy as pie, just read the English section of the code.
Against my better judgement I guess I'll raise my hand.....Okay who's interested in starting a Private Conversation, if you are please tag me, I'm not getting alerts from this thread for some reason.
@ButtonquailGirl14 yes you can help with pictures!
Yup! I use the cat one sometimes, trying to unravel Shiloh. That didn't work! Lol.WOAH!

I'm great at that! I got the SOP at home and LOVE to share about exhibition poultry with all my friends!I'm going out to get Ice Cream soon.
Here is the spreadsheet that I am working on; feel free to inform me if something I have written down is wrong.

For all you breed enthusiasts out there, if you know the correct skin and eye color of a breed please let me know. I am finding that to be the most difficult information to find.
We mustn't add the landraces, just the Standard breeds. And certainly don't add Easter Eggers, since they are mixes with no guiding traits, not even the egg color.I'm going out to get Ice Cream soon.

If its not listed in the SOP does that mean that they dont have a color they are "supposed" to be?I'm going out to get Ice Cream soon.

I don't think we should add any outside of the SOP, too complicated. If its not listed in the SOP does that mean that they dont have a color they are "supposed" to be?
Uh really? I thought part of the idea was to know mixes too. I mean EEs are their own thing, but so many people are sold EEs as ameraucanas that having them included in this would help anyone checking know what theyre looking at before they buy them. I mean they are still a chicken with a name. It might be hard to figure out genetics for them seeing as how they are created by crossing breeds together, but so are a lot of birds. We mustn't add the landraces, just the Standard breeds. You can figure out the offspring of two parents. For example, my Am roo over an Australorp hen. But EEs are impossible to figure out the parentage of. Some of them are years and years and years and years and years and decades and decades and decades of crosses of mutts of mutts of mutts of mutts. And some of them are Marans and Legbars, not even hardly looking like your average EE at all.Uh really? I thought part of the idea was to know mixes too.
