As a matter of fact, I just completed a fast candling.

DB's- 10 definite veining, 2 not sure, but not clear either!

Banty Cochin from Goldie Hen- DEFINITE veining- what the hecky-doo am I going to do with ONE bantam chick????

That's Awesome!!! I am so glad they have nice veining already!! They are pretty easy to see through!

I am broody again too!!! I have a broody Blue Hen on 3 blue hen eggs and a light brahma egg from a friend. They should hatch on April 5th!

This hatching thing is addicting..I really hope I can stop!!!




Edited to add: I candled my first BH babies at day 4 and was able to see well, but much better at day 10 and up!

Can you get then into an incubator? And have a little talk with that hen!

The DBH are really easy to see through with the old slide projector I use for candling. The EE's are thicker shell, and it's hard to make anything out. I hope they're good, I'd love to have some green eggs!
 
I wish I could, I don;t have an incubator and she didn't sit on them long enough (I don't think) for anything to happen. I just put them under her last night....we'll see I guess
