Well my grandson's quilt didn't have a pattern since it was part of an extra pillowcase..and the rest was leftover scraps from his other projects that I made for his room...lol..
The purse I made was all in my head since I don't make patterns for purses or bags..lol.
Who knows of a good quilting website? My husband picked me up some books at the Salvation Army the other day (this is one of his favorite bookstores
) It's just called quilt...and they are 1987, 88 editions.
Was wanting a website that doesn't try to sell you 100's of DVD's...
just quilt talk...anyone?
You can spend a lot of time visiting web sites about quilting, or you can just jump in and start making a quilt!
If you want to see pictures of quilts, type in a pattern in Google search, then from the Google page, click on Images in the upper left corner. Some quilt block names are: Maple Leaf, Nine Patch, Double Wedding Ring, Bear's Paw, Pinwheel, Friendship Star, Rail Fence, Ohio Star, and Snail's Trail.
I have to second http://quilting.about.com/
They have a great message board as well as patterns and instructional stuff. It's a real nice group of people who are willing to share tons of knowledge.
I'm wanting new patterns, and answers to some questions I encounter along the way. I saw a picture of a pattern I want to try...I believe they called it the pioneer braid. Anyone seen that? Made it?
Love the pictures...keep them coming....
Thanks for sharing.
Anyone made a 'ragged' quilt? Thinking about making one for a new baby coming....

Are you referring to the ones that are usually made from home spun, and the seams are all frayed? If so, yes. I'm making two as Christmas presents.
