guess I had to turn off alerts because of the articles and reviews would say 43 what the hey 43? click on it you just get a menu but not what is new where but it is all or nothing on alerts

Robots are computer programs that browse the web (as opposed to people using browsers). Most commonly, these are search engines (like Google) that is looking for new content on the web that it can index and make available for searches. They are sometimes also called "crawlers" or "spiders".

If you put a member's name into the search box and hit search, you'll see that there's only 10 pages displayed... Which in my case means I can't find my old posts to fix all the spelling errors....

How do I turn my alerts on for different threads? I just thought no one had been posting on this thread but when I checked I had missed like 30 pages!

look under ALERT PREFERENCES...
Double check that you have the alert on for watched threads.
I'm finding that the "fast" moving threads don't "alert" for Everything/every post ALL the time.
This has been mentioned in a separate "alert thread" already.
(working on trying to figure it out)

I think (and I could be wrong),it will alert you or send an email the first time a thread you are watching has a new post. Then it waits til you visit it. I am not sure since it seems I have been on here non stop for a week.

If you are not sure you are subscribed to a thread, look at the top right and you will see either Watch this Thread if you are not subscribed and Unwatch if you are.
