Hi Taylor,
Yes I went to Strand, the poultry supply up on Esmar off of Service Rd that I use all the time & got some new parts & everything is fine. Actually I could use a couple more if Cliff has extras.
Sorry you two didn't get to go to Oakland on Saturday. You could have met alot of cool chicken lovers & the food was great too......LOL. The Delta group I belong to is going to have another meetup too. I think it is on Dec 3rd so you can keep that in mind too. It is for Pizza & Beer & a chicken history movie.
My son & a helper got things all moved around today so all the grow pens are now under full cover. I lost 10 young birds through this last rain on & off at night. Now the tarps are all off & they are all under solid carports.
My quail have started laying....Yipee!!!!!!!!!!!! I gave a friend a dozen quail eggs to take home to eat yesterday. She grew up eating quail eggs & I had some pickled ones done already left over from the potluck. I think my son, Aaron, polished them off today.......LOL
Tomorrow is a new day with not nearly as much to do or worry about now. Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh............. I am off to veg in my recliner eating my pumpkin seeds & Jujubes........LOL Good night all.

Margarette, you can have as many as you want from me - you were the best coronation mom I know...hey forgot to tell you Sir Giles got liquid acupuncture the other day in his foot, vet thinks because of the injury way back when that he's developed arthritis and that's why he won't roost. He roosted that same day after that, but I haven't spent enough time in his pen to see if he still is.

Thanks! and thats interesting about SG, he didnt have to roost here, he had his own pen with the 3 girls, and the entire run was bedded in those big flaked shavings, with an XL igloo doghouse w/ more shavings they all slept in. Ive had acupuncture done on myself and horses, love it, its amazing...

Oh he doesn't "have to" roost, just that most all my other chickens do, there is plenty of room in the coop for him on the ground with the girls and his pen is very nice sized. The vet injected, I believe, b12 into the acupuncture sites - never heard about this type before although, like you, I love the regular acupuncture and Toby my 12 yr old lab gets it every 2 weeks for his arthritis and hips

If hes roosting now, maybe he feels better, esp if he wasnt before? Good luck with him, he must be happy to be back!

Good morning,
I hope to get myself to tear about the incubator today & clean & disinfect everything. I am just iffy about puting the humidifier back toigether properly. Fortunately my husband does that for me.
I have been being a good girl & been pecking away at my mountain of dirty clothes. The new washer & dryer got put in & hooked up after a few weeks of none.
I have never had acupunture but about now anything that relieved this arthritis would be welcomed. I am limping & dragging around here not wanting to do much except in my head & it's as busy as ever......LOL
I guess we had better be ready, or get ready. for winter. I think it is here. I have built a fire in the mornings when I get up for the past few days now. Brrrrrrrrrr. Soup weather..............
