I have a ton of roosters, but I seperated them all from their hens a while ago. Needed to give the poor girls' backs a break. Plus I was tired of gathering eggs from so many pens. My girls are all relaxing now at the hen spa - aka the layer pen![]()
she is so pretty. good luck with your search. maybe post on the norcal thread and the classifieds here on bycHi Everyone! I'm from Manteca, so I guess this is the right thread!! Anyway, I have just posted an ad on Craigslist, and thought I would post here too. If this is the wrong spot, feel free to move my post, I'm just trying to reach local people though!! I have a beautiful 24 week old Black Australorp pullet that I need to re-home. She is super healthy and robust, but she is the leader of my flock of 3 and she is making too much noise each day. I live in town with a small backyard, and it's just too much noise. She just started laying last week and I've been told she will settle down after awhile, but I'm getting an ulcer worrying about the neighbors! She is very friendly and raised as a pet from day 1, so I would like to see her go to a nice home, where they wont eat her! If you know of anyone, please let me know...Thanks so much! Deanna
