Good news cutekittie, Steve just called me back. It's along story & I am more than willing to share it with you but the bottom line is that he has one white Frizzled Batam Cochin egg in the hatching tray due out today or tomorrow & has offered it to me for you if you want it. I told him "Thank You" we will take it. He is a friend of the lady that is coming out to my place on Tuesday & if it hatches he will send it to me with her...............Now, How is that for a prayer answered????? LOL
PM me & send your real name & phone # & I will call you if it makes it & is delivered to me & I will keep it in the brooder waiting for you.

NO WAY!!!! My daughter will be so excited! Snowball died before Christmas and Paige STILL cries about the loss of her. She was one of the sweetest birds we ever had! I'll PM you my info. I can't believe this!

This was our sweet Snowball. To make a long and sad story short, her own sons killed her. We learned a sad lesson that day on why not to have too many roosters. They went to the feed store that day after we burried her. RIP sweet girl.

awww, poor Snowball! why is it always the kids favorite pet???? It reminded me of my DDs pet LF white Cochin she named Snowball (hehe, what else?) we had when she was 5 or 6...she used to carry her around, that hen was just a huge ball of white fluff, so gentle, makes me wish for more cochins! Good luck with this chick!

Okay you local guys & gals,
I am on a hunt................... Like I need anymore chickens......LOL I like to have at least one egg in my carton that is a pure white Large egg for a nice contrast. Sooooooooooo????? I want high production, large size egg & a pretty chicken too. I have almost all Large Fowl Dual purpose birds with the exception of my Blue Andalusians (medium white egg) & my Silkies (bought them for broody hens but let them hatch out their own eggs too). I bought a few singlr comb light brown Leghorn pullets last summer & they do the job but I would like something nicer.
I have been researching & come up with:
Leghorns, if I get these I want fancy ones
Minorcas
Dorkings
Anconas
I believe the chicken raisers know the real deal better than some of the info you get when researching so I am open for suggestions from your experiences.
So......................... Who has what out there where I could drive & pick up???????????? I will buy or trade hatching eggs or chicks:
