Thanks Margarete,
That is very nice of you. I did it alone with a plan. I went intp each pen & removed the ones I wanted to take to the auction & threw them in the closed alley as went from pen to pen. I then had them all together is a smaller area & Had the truck loaded with the big cage right outside the gate. It went pretty smoothe considering.....LOL. I had to wait in a long line at the auction but it's a done deal now. Less mouths to feed....LOL

Amen to that.............. I need to do another load. I couldn't find my list I made a few days ago so I only took in 15 instead of as many as I wanted too. You might know I found the list right here behind my computer after I got back home.....LOL So much for my organizational skills.....LOL

Well, I took off early this morning to Stockton to pick up a breeding trio of Amherst Pheasants for my son. Then on to Concord to pick up 3 more juveniles. He thinks the juveniles that are a month or so behind the first trio is 2 roosters & 1 hen. The roosters are more in demaind anyway & I need the feathers....LOL Do you see what they are charging for the feathers? My great nieces were wearing them crimped into their hair at the wedding we went to Sunday & said it was really expensive to have done....?????? I have already been collecting loose feathers from the chickens to make brooches out of. Now to take the time to do it.....LOL

This morning so far, in the hatching tray, I have 4 Black Australorps, 6 Salmon Favorolles & only 2 English Orpingtons so far. I am hoping for more but see no pips.
I just put a tray of 24 shipped BCM eggs & 200 quail eggs in.

Something is not right with the English Orps I hatched. They all have feathered shanks..What's up with that??? Jeremy says Noooooooooooo to that. He has beautiful ones. I am happy with the Favorolles from the same breeder all feathered shanks & 5 toed. I wrote to her & am waiting for a reply.
