Finally got my new chicks settled in to their first "nursery" after taking an individual photo of each of them. All arrived in good condition, some are a bit smaller than the others, but that could be due to breed difference. I thought that they wouldn't be able to send any of the Gold Campine pullets that had been ordered, but apparently they just couldn't send all 10. I got five of them and five of the substituted Gold Lakenvelders. Happy, Happy!!
Clucks and coos!

Quote: Plunge them into ice water when they are done cooking and leave them there until they are COMPLETELY cold. I boil eggs straight from the coop and they are easy to peel.
I have the perfect solution for eggs that are difficult to peel.
You feed the white with bits of shell stuck to your dogs...........................and I eat boiled yolks. It's my favorite part anyway.

You know I hadn't thought about it too much until one day my mom says she doesn't like honey because it is just bee spit! Really mom? Okay, whatever!I never cease to be amazed by how horrified people are when they realize where their food comes from. Like the chicken breasts are fresh plucked off trees and eggs fall from the sky. LOL
