    [IMG] Silly chickens!

If she really wants to lay on 10 eggs, give her some fake ones?

I think so. The ones with more white seem bigger. You also see 3 crele penedesenca roosters as well. same age but 1/3rd larger which makes me wonder about Sand Hill.
the chicks all seem healthy and active though. back to the roosters Ron you know my luck they are probably all roosters [IMG]

I have to ask, always wanted to know how does a hen move eggs from one nest box to another? [IMG] People talk about them 'stealing' eggs from others, but how do they do it? Pockets?

Hey guys, I'm back with more questions!!

How do I hang my heat lamp over the brooder? We're using a cardboard box that's almost 4x4, with sand as the bedding. Inside is about 1.5 - 2' from the sand, I don't remember the exact height. Something like that. Chicken wire is being used to cover the brooder to keep any chicks from trying to escape!
My ceiling is REALLY tall, it would be a huge pain to hang it form the ceiling. I don't even know if we could reach it with a ladder...
So how do I hang the heat lamp?
