My Costco has none of that!

I wonder if I can get the one in Woodland to carry at least chicken feed.....Maybe if those of us in the area called to request it?
I was so surprised! You could probably call. I think sometimes they ship stuff with no shipping charges. That would work since they organic feed was like $6 cheaper than the feed stores. It was in the "organic" section by the front of the store. They advertised it as helping you to stay organic with your own eggs.

I will check tomorrow.

Thank You!

Well, that's not completely true, I still have bantam BR on eggs and some Icelandics.

Ok. I'm happy with close to any of your breeds... I've tried to break my girl but she's insistent. So if you think you may have some chicks hatch ill wait, otherwise Ill try eggs under her again... :/ I don't want to do that but idk what else to do... Thanks Deb!

ack. My showgirls single silkie chick she hatched last week has a massively swollen wing. The skin on the bottom does not look good either.
I talked to a vet friend and gave her some baby aspirin dissolved in waste ( FYI they don't call it baby aspirin they call it low dosage and it not the auto dissolving ones) and general antibiotics. She was holding it funny last night but it was not like this :(.

I give her a 50/50 chance. I did not think of anti inflamatories last night . He thinks it could be broken, so I also used spray on painkillers. Poor little one...

I hope the chick gets better!

Most on BYC are abbreviating Partridge Rock as PR and Barred Plymouth Rock as BR. The one that is abbreviated correctly seems to be SPPR for Silver Pencil Plymouth Rock.

So Partridge Rock should be PPR for Partridge Plymouth Rock and Barred Rocks should be BPR Barred Plymouth Rocks I suppose.

I want Heritage PPRs and have tried to hatch them for the past two years.

I am practicing patience, especially since I have some many cool breeds.

Costco has chicken tractors and Organic Feed! Went to the Tracy CA costco today. There was a cute little tractor. Not much room (maybe 2-3 chickens) if you move it often. $185 for it, but looked on their site and they have bigger versions. Cute as a button!! Next to it they had Organic Feed. The same kind the feed stores sell around here. Costco = $20 for 40 pounds, while the feeds stores are $26 for the same bag. Just so shocked to see that at Costco. I thought of putting a "chickens for sale" sign on the display with my phone # , lol!
I'm in Modesto, my Costco has that tiny little coop for sale too, bought it for my Seramas. I haven't seen feed there yet though.
