I don't know where you are but I have either a breese and a something or 4 Serema chicks that hatched Wednesday. The s have been fragile to raise however I'd be a wee bit worried about a long car ride unless you really babied them.

I believe she is in Sacramento. And yes, I agree on not doing a long car ride with Seremas...but they are SOOOO CUTE!

Sorry, I cannot tell. They look like girls at this point but they are really too young to tell for sure. I've only hatched a couple of batches of ODs and it seems like the boys combs grew in quickly but Deb has had them longer than I have and it sounds like some may take awhile to mature.

I have a limited hatch due 10/3/13. I will have Double Laced Blue Barnies, BBS Orps, Sulmtalers and maybe basque. I have an order already for the basque and only set a few eggs so we will have to see how many hatch. They will be straight-run since none of the breeds set this round are auto sexing.

It's a very pretty bird, but I don't understand the color. Partridge is a color/pattern and cuckoo is a pattern. That would be like saying I have on a zebra striped plaid shirt. Also, I see no barring on her. Where did she come from?

I'm assuming they are using Isabel to describe a dilute color, like they do in Doberman pinschers.

She's only 15 weeks old so her coloring/barring isn't clear yet. I got her from ewe crazy farms. He imported them from the UK. They're still very rare over there too. Bryce at ewe crazy farms and I are the only ones with a breeding pair in USA. Here is his picture of the mature rooster.

Interesting. it looks like its lavender cuckoo almost.
I thought cuckoo was double barred partridge like crele is.
