Fluffy yellow. Why?
reddish is an indication of the chick being a pullet. Black and white barring coming in on the feathers is an indication of a Cockerel.
Comb and wattles usually happen at six weeks or so.

mainly curiosity on my part. I've seen very few basque chicks but in my first hatch I remember a few being almost neon yellow. I think they are the ones crowing now.Fluffy yellow. Why?

I have read that hanging a mirror can help them not be lonely too.Thank you both. Now if I can just find a buddy ! This is my first time absconding my dd beanie babie for the brooder!
