I should be asleep and not taking pictures
@casportpony - you requested cute baby pics???
I'm doomed I tell you! Awwwwwwwww! They are messy, they are messy, they are messy.........that's what I keep telling myself.

All of u that are hatching eggs have now made mr addicted to hatching.
i have two questions. 1) will the eggs hatch on the 21st day or later? And 2) what would be tge color/name of a cross between appenzeller sputzhauben and either a gold lace polish or a white crested black polish
If your temperatures are correct, then yes, they will hatch on the 21st day. If they are high, they'll hatch early, if low, they will hatch late. You should set them for the Easter Hatch-a-long!

Took a few pics of my Pita Pinta roo Zoro today and his blue PP/Langshan cross babies. It looks like there are 3 "Pingshan" boys and 3 girls They are looking much more Langshan than Pita Pinta. Maybe I should call them Langshintas instead! You can also see a couple of the Bresse chicks that are in with them.

Adorable babies, but holy heck is Zorro gorgeous!

I'm totally lurking but I have an answer. 3 weeks seems to be when my chicks abandon the ecoglow and I pull it out for the next batch. My main brooder has a string of christmas lights for extra warmth since its outside but 3 weeks is about the length they need the serious warmth. Nice to be pulling chicks off heat so early. I have 7 ducklings that are 2 weeks that hardly use it. Theyre outside too and they use it when they need it but thats rarely.
It is great to hear from you!

I really like the eco glow type brooder heaters.

They look Amazing!

You did a good job of picking ones with more white.

Have you heard back from Megan about getting more hatching eggs from here this year?
Thanks, Ron! I think the pullet in the pic is the lightest one!

I have seven pullets and five of them are pretty good size. I am just working with the seven pullets that I have this year and I'll cull heavy from their offspring. I did hear back from Megan so contact her if you want eggs.

Multi quote is missing on my phone:-( but It must be because I'm brooding in my living room this year (mercy!) rather than the garage .

I have five heated brooder available for set up and five more for grow outs but f I use them all in the living room I may be asking for it.
Looks like the flex will shortly be kicked out of her parking spot;-)

Very nice! Zoro looks quite regal, don't you think? Maybe you should call him "King Zoro "
Thank you! He's working on earning that name! He is slowly working his way up the pecking order with my girls. I've seen him do his business with my Coro Sussex, my Buff Brahma, and yesterday with my big Marans/Am OE. He has quite the eclectic harem!

He's nice looking!

I'm having strange issues with browsers while trying to view BYC. I always use Firefox, which usually works great. This past week, loading the pages on BYC slowed way down. And I get the dreaded rainbow spinning circle ( a Mac thing) when I try to scroll the page. Takes me way too long to read posts like this.
So, I switched to Safari, just for viewing BYC. There are annoying ads on the ends of many of the posts. Those never showed up on Firefox.
None of this happens on any other forums. Any of you nerds understand why this is happening?

Kim, I'm also on a Mac and I also have been having problems with Firefox which I have used for years with no problem. I am using Chrome and Safari while Firefox gets it back together. Check for updates from Firefox...they will fix it eventually.

Make sure you have the most recent version of Flash and Shockwave too.

On one of my PCs I have been getting a Script error from Fire Fox. The other PCs are doing fine though.

PetRock, I definitely understand that. My husband works out of town most of the time too. Right now he's in San Bernardino. You should move down to SC… not a bad place to live at all! ;)
