I wondered the same thing. I've always got one chick (never had ducklings) that has to run all over the place and harass the hatchers.

I get the rowdy ones out as soon as possible.

They can hurt ones that just hatched.

I'm having strange issues with browsers while trying to view BYC. I always use Firefox, which usually works great. This past week, loading the pages on BYC slowed way down. And I get the dreaded rainbow spinning circle ( a Mac thing) when I try to scroll the page. Takes me way too long to read posts like this.
So, I switched to Safari, just for viewing BYC. There are annoying ads on the ends of many of the posts. Those never showed up on Firefox.
None of this happens on any other forums. Any of you nerds understand why this is happening?

I fired up the MacMini in my office and it updated to firefox 27. When I went to BYC it had me install Flash 12. It is now working normally without adds popping up. Hopefully the site is working better for everyone now.

It was slow for me yesterday using a Dell D630 and firefox.

One of my ducklings is looking pretty weak and hasn't even open it's eyes.

It's a long shot, but since one of the dead in shell ones had a yolk sac infection I decided to give this one a very small drop of Baytril and I will also hand feed or tube Pedialyte to it.

Took a few pics of my Pita Pinta roo Zoro today and his blue PP/Langshan cross babies. It looks like there are 3 "Pingshan" boys and 3 girls They are looking much more Langshan than Pita Pinta. Maybe I should call them Langshintas instead! You can also see a couple of the Bresse chicks that are in with them.

I did the drop of poly vi sol without IRON. i swear almost immediately they perked up. @Lacrystol said Vit B complex is good for the legs of the ones i had to help out.
