I know there are some in Sac and the Central Valley. Not sure up by you.
I processed with @capayvalleychick and Paul. We processed 9 and it did not take all day. I think we finished in less than 4 hours.

Those Delawares were huge too!
Oh nice! I think we need a processing day. @PetRock does them but it never seems to work out on the days.

Kathy - off topic here, but I've been dying to know, but I was too busy with the Easter Hatch. What's up with the opossum in your picture? You have a pet opossum?
The shame, lol.

He's one I found last summer and bottle fed. Meant to turn him over to a wildlife rescue, but kept putting it off and now he's too big and tame. By tame I mean he won't bite people unless startled, he's no lap opossum, that's for sure.

Quote: Yeah....I should have listened to @ronott1 ands the others here who suggested I get the Cots instead. I didn't think I was even going to hatch these and didn;t want to foot the extra cost.

My new little foster puppy. About 4 months old, Border Collie/Pit Bull mix. Gets along with the chickens better than any dog I've ever fostered. She completely ignores them, and when one of the hens decided to attack her she just backed away crying, poor thing! She's such a good little girl! She needs a loving home ;)

OMG....she is soooo cute!

So...now I am looking at ordering Cot eggs. Is there any particular variety that is better than others? I am looking at McPherson Farms and they have white, tuxedo, italian, regular brown. 50 cents/egg plus $8 shipping. Is that reasonable?

What a cutie pie!

Also, if there are a bunch of posts coming all at once, it can take some time for the system to catch up.  I can tell you nothing was removed. (cuz I can still see it if it was)

I tell you the bobwhites are framing us see?

Thanks for letting us know!

I did not think we broke any rules recently.

See above! I don't either but we are a spicy group we could have. But the wrong numbering makes sense.

Its not bad but if you want big eggs and birds you should get them from me instead! The james marie farms birds really are superior. Are you coming to karens party?

Look on Craigslist, you can usually find them for $5 per dozen or less and local to you. No shipping fee and no shipping damage.
