Good Job!
Thanks! I didn't really know to look for that stuff.

Beautiful pics everyone. We were so busy today doing projects. DH is working on our poolside structure (not sure what to call it yet) but it's finally coming along. Got the 2 huge beams up on the upright posts. I'll take some pics tomorrow. I can't believe DH got them up over 9' high by himself using just ladders!!!!

I've been pruning roses and getting ready to plant more fruit trees. Hopefully we'll get about 8 more in the ground tomorrow. Gotta clean my coop out tomorrow too. All that rain we had soaked the bedding, so I'll put down a layer of sand and wood ash before adding dry sawdust.

Not getting many eggs, just a couple per day....what free loaders. I have about 4 hens that decided to do a late moult and are looking quite bare in this cold weather LOL.

I had to laugh at my big blue roo....he ate way too much goodies and looks like he's trying to get a breast augmentation...Don't worry his crop went down to normal size, but he just looked funny this day. His tail if finally growing back in...he did a complete moult and lost all his tail feathers. I'm using him again on his daughters because he's so beefy and want his size to pass on.

One of my very cold hens that decided to do a late moult...

That's quite the full crop! hehe He's handsome though!

Today was a good egg day here! 5 chicken eggs, 9 duck eggs. These Orps might lay well during the cold months but I have a feeling they are going to roll the carpet back up in July until the heat passes. Hopefully my Leghorns augment the egg decrease in the hot months. We will see. The great experiment!

That blue boy is funny Trisha - what a little pig! I have a few late molters too. Hoping for more to start back up so I can get some eggs again. I'm getting 1-2 a day.

LOL, he is a bit of a pig when it comes to treats. Yesterday, my daughter was feeding some "scratch" and she was being mobbed by about 50 chickens. Wish I had a camera then. She had more than 7 roos or near adult cockerels and 40+ hens/pullets all surrounding her begging to be fed. She loved it!!! DD (age 4) kept telling me which ones to keep and which to sell....her decisions based on which ones had the most glossy feathers, LOL. Good thing I have some nice mannered roos!

I like naked chicks...................wait a minute, something about that doesn't sound right.

You are lucky. I did get my first egg since my hawk attack a few weeks back. My Icelandic hen who was laying almost daily stopped with the stress. she laid today though. Then I broke it
