There is also a hawk at Trishas place. The dogs warned her so she moved them into a run. The hawk is missing feathers! Maybe someones Roo ripped it up!
I posted an chicken embryo picture to help her get ready!Leaf Lard is rendered fat from over the Kidneys. Regular lard comes off of the back. It is nearly impossible to get leaf lard but capayvalleychick butchered some American Guinea Hogs and gave me the fat!
It has the least "pork" taste of any lard and is prized by bakers. It makes great pie crust!![]()
Quote: A person that goes to my Church had some bear meat made into salame!
I hope he gets a Bear soon!![]()
My Marans/orph chick looked like a Marans chick. But it had more white on it ( speedy did not throw much white on the chicks) I think lacing needs 2 parents with genes, so it will not show up. Don't know about the genes on the rest. With three roos, hens that hold the sperm two weeks and the possibility of having three sets in each hen, yes you will have a huge genetic mix.
Bantam chicks are noticeably smaller and the wyandootte pattern is much different than the buff colored BO chicks. Marans are black with white splotches too!
You should be able to tell what they are. What fun!
I loved them too, Showed the story to DH and dad last night, everyone got a kick out of it.I love those pictures! I have a Buff Orp who will actually follow me into the garage when I'm filling their feeder lol. I will have to take a pic of my "herd" following behind me![]()
We are supposed to get rain any minute now.
wow bear. have him come get my bobcat, I wont tell. The only thing that I have heard to be better is bear lard! My husband has been trying for a bear, for the lard and to feed the dogs! The pelt would be nice, too, though.
