Help!!! I was locking up the ladies in the coop & checking them w/ a flashlight like I always do.... I check their feet & vents as possible. I have been battling diarrhea with them for a couple weeks now; I've given buttermilk & yogurt with oats, garlic in their water, not giving any kitchen scraps- only layer pellets, crumble, oats & scratch. Well while I was in the coop I saw one girl who I know has had diarrhea ( she pooped on my 3 year old) flexing her vent A LOT! I saw clear drops of fluid on her feathers & I see on the ground a liquidy-yellowish mush that is definitely not an egg, right below her.... I start watching her vent & notice something huge coming out!!! It has to be a worm, but I'm not sure if it's a round worm or tapeworm. I tugged it & it slipped out, about 4 inches of gelatinous, almost clear goo but formed!! yuck yuck yuck!!!! So I guess I know where the diarrhea has been coming from, but how do I treat the girls? I have 5 ladies who are a year old. I took a picture if anybody wants to see (I'm a sick, sick nurse), but how & what do I treat them with? Can we eat the eggs?? I'm new to this. Please help!!
This ad is fantastic! Its hilarious and practical at the same time! We have a rat problem here and I would consider having them out!
Sorry, I am laughing because I used to do that all the time, and I have been known for selling people the wrong breed (cough.... Laura...... cough) LOL I now have three hatchers and try to keep em separated by pattern but sometimes I still get completely confused. I raise 3/4 breeds you have listed and am happy to help once you get your pics up.
. I gave everyone electrolytes and they look better now, everyone is sleeping or eating, but I wont be surprised if I loose one overnight from the stress.
